Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds
You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to send back a part you no longer want. We apply that to every customer wherever they live, and for buyers in the European Union it matches your statutory right of withdrawal.
What we take back
A part comes back if it is unused, uninstalled, complete and in packaging that has not been destroyed. Opening a box to look at the part is fine. Bolting it to a car is not.
Email [email protected] with your order number and what you want to return, and we will send you the return address and a short form. Please wait for that reply before shipping anything. Parcels that turn up unannounced take far longer to match to an order, and that delays your refund.
What we cannot take back
Tuning has a few categories where a return is genuinely impossible. It is fairer to name them here than to argue about them later.
- Software, ECU files, licences and unlock codes once the file has been sent or the licence activated. A delivered file cannot be un-delivered.
- Parts made or modified for your specific car: anything ordered against your VIN, custom lengths, custom finishes.
- Special orders brought in from a manufacturer for you personally, where the manufacturer will not take it back from us either. We tell you before you pay when an item falls into this group.
- Parts that have been fitted, test fitted with visible marks, cut, drilled, painted, heat cycled, or installed with sealant or thread lock.
Marks on mounting faces, rounded bolt heads, exhaust soot and tyre residue all count as installed. That is not a technicality we invented. It is simply that we cannot offer such a part to the next customer as new.
Faulty parts and warranty
Everything above is about changing your mind. A part that arrives broken, or that fails because of a manufacturing defect, is a separate matter and the 14 days do not limit you.
Write to us with your order number, photographs of the fault and a short description of what happened. Manufacturer warranty periods differ by brand, usually somewhere between 6 and 24 months. We put your claim to the manufacturer and chase it ourselves. When a defect is confirmed we replace the part or refund it, and we pay the return shipping.
Warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, by racing use where the manufacturer excludes it, by detonation or overboost from tuning outside the part's specification, or by ordinary wear.
Money
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from. We process them within 10 business days of receiving the parcel and checking its condition. How long the money then takes to show up is up to your bank, usually a few days more.
We refund the original shipping cost when the return is our fault: wrong part sent, a defect, damage in transit. If you simply changed your mind, the outbound and return shipping are yours. Import duties you have already paid are normally reclaimed from your own customs authority rather than from us, and the return documents we provide are what you use to claim them.
If we sent the wrong part
Tell us and we will fix it at our expense, both directions, with no form and no argument. It does not happen often, and when it does it is on us.
