Cookie policy

This site uses three cookies. All of them are needed to make the store work, none of them track you, and there is no advertising or analytics code on any page.

That is why you will not see a consent banner here. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, and we have chosen not to set any other kind.

The cookies we set

cart stores the product IDs and quantities in your basket, so the basket survives a page reload and a closed tab. It lives for 30 days. It holds no prices, no names and no payment data, and the server re-checks every ID against the catalogue before showing you anything.

__racehub_at is your access token after you log in. It lasts 15 minutes, is marked httpOnly so JavaScript cannot read it, is sent only over HTTPS, and carries SameSite=Lax.

__racehub_rt is the refresh token that keeps you logged in without typing your password every 15 minutes. It lasts 7 days and has the same protections.

Log out and the two authentication cookies are deleted immediately.

What we do not use

No Google Analytics. No Meta or TikTok pixels. No advertising or retargeting cookies. No session recording, no heatmaps, no cross site tracking, and no cookies from data brokers. Nothing here follows you to another website.

Embedded video

Some blog posts embed YouTube videos. We use youtube-nocookie.com for these, which stops YouTube from writing tracking cookies until you actually press play. Once you start a video, YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to that playback and it may set its own cookies. If you never play the video, nothing is set.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings. You are free to block ours, but the site will not work well: with the cart cookie blocked your basket empties on every page, and with the authentication cookies blocked you cannot stay logged in.

Changes

If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it and update this page.
