Performance box Capristo Ferrari 488 GTB / Spider

Performance box for the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider. The module raises the output of the 3.9 twin-turbo V8 from 670 PS to 720 PS and adds 40 to 60 Nm, depending on how a particular engine measures out.

How it works

A painted die-cast aluminium housing with its own cable harness and connectors. The box works through the charge air sensors and the manifold air pressure sensor; engine speed is read from the OEM camshaft sensor. Nothing is soldered and the factory software is not rewritten, so unplugging the module returns the car to standard with no trace left behind.

Why the limit is 720 PS

Capristo deliberately stops below what the engine would take. The headroom is left for the turbochargers, the clutch and the internals, so the car can be driven as before rather than nursed.

Best results

The box is developed around the Capristo valved exhaust for the 488. Combined with Capristo sport cats or race pipes and the valved system, owners report gains of up to 70 hp over standard.

• Not CARB approved, check the rules in your market;
• The harness and connectors are supplied, no cutting into the loom.
