Complete timing belt cover kit for the Ferrari 348 and the Mondial T 3.4. The set consists of five parts and replaces the original covers over the belt drive of the 3.4 V8.

What the kit solves

On these engines the belt covers are among the first parts to show their age: the original plastic becomes brittle with heat cycling, the fixings crack, and a cover that no longer sits tight is both an eyesore in a tidy engine bay and a risk to the belt itself. The Capristo kit replaces all five pieces at once rather than patching a single broken cover.

Build and fitment

Made at the Capristo factory in Sundern, Germany, to the dimensions of the original parts, so the kit uses the factory fixing points and the mounting hardware is supplied with it. Nothing on the engine has to be modified.

Before you order

• The same kit covers the 348 and the Mondial T 3.4;
• Capristo notes that the kit is not homologated for road use in Germany, which matters only in markets that inspect such parts;
• Fitting is usually combined with a belt service, since the covers have to come off anyway.
