Rear silencers for the Mercedes-AMG G63 W465 with the M177 4.0 biturbo V8. The W465 is the current G-Class, and its standard rear section is built around a particulate filter and European noise limits rather than around the engine.

Two versions

• Four-tip muffler (02MB08503089);
• Six-tip muffler (02MB08503095).

Both use electric flaps driven by the car's own OEM actuators, so the standard switching stays in place and nothing extra is wired in. Tailpipes come polished or black chrome-plated.

How it works

With the flaps closed the gas still passes through the damping chambers, so cruising noise stays civil. Open, the path shortens and the V8 reaches the tips with far less filtering.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated above 600 C, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• Both versions carry ECE approval, so the car stays street legal in Europe;
• Choose the tip count and finish before ordering, they are built to order;
• Installation uses the original mounting points and is reversible.
