Two versions

• Carbon tailpipes, gloss lacquered (03FE08710028LG);
• Carbon tailpipes, matt lacquered (03FE08710028LM).

Choose the finish to match the other carbon on the car: gloss next to matt is the mismatch owners notice first.

How the carbon is made

Capristo lays the prepreg by hand in its own billet steel moulds, cures the parts in an autoclave and applies the clear coat by hand, using the Type L weave Ferrari itself uses. The pattern therefore lines up with factory carbon already fitted to the car.

What it changes

A visual part. Flow, catalysts and valve control stay as they are, so the tips can be fitted to a standard car as well as to one running the Capristo system.

Why carbon tips last here

The inner shell carries the heat while the carbon stays on the outside, which is why a properly built carbon tip keeps its finish in a position where painted parts discolour within a season.

Before you order

• The tips are shaped for the 488 GTB and Spider rear valance; the Pista has its own tailpipes;
• Mounting hardware is included and the factory position is kept;
• No bodywork modification is needed.
