Sport catalysts with a 250 cell substrate for the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S 991. They replace the standard converters, which sit directly behind the turbochargers and decide how quickly those unload.

What changes

The cell count of a catalyst substrate is the number of channels per square inch, and it maps directly onto how much gas the block can pass. A 250 cell element flows far more than the factory part while still working as a catalyst, so spool and throttle response change before anything is heard.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated for continuous temperatures above 600 C, hand TIG welded in Sundern, Germany. The substrates are packed in housings wide enough that the flow is not pinched again right after the ceramic.

Before you order

• The parts are supplied together with the Capristo exhaust system for the same car;
• ECU programming may be required so no fault is set;
• Installation uses the original flanges and is reversible;
• The standard converters can be refitted at any time.
