Sport catalyst section for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The parts take the place of the particulate filter on the 4.0 flat-six, which is the largest restriction left in the standard system.

Three versions

• 250 cell sport cats as OPF replacement (02PO01003025);
• 100 cell sport cats as OPF replacement (02PO01003033);
• Catless pipes (02PO01008088).

The 100 cell version flows most among the catted options; the catless pipes are for track use only.

What it changes

Capristo measured about 110.9 dBA for the standard system with the flap open and about 114.9 dBA once the rear silencer runs with 250 cell cats as OPF replacement. The filter also carries much of the back pressure, so its removal is felt in response as well as volume.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany. Capristo packages its sport cats in 5.2 inch housings so the substrate is not squeezed into a narrow can.

Before you order

• ECU programming may be required whenever the OPF or the catalysts are replaced;
• Running without a particulate filter is restricted on public roads in many markets;
• Combines with the Capristo rear silencer and the tubular manifold.
