Sport cats Capristo Lamborghini Diablo

02LA04303002

Sport catalysts for the Lamborghini Diablo with the 5.7 and 6.0 litre V12. They replace the original catalysts, which on a car of this age are often partly sintered and the single largest restriction left in the system.

What changes

A free-flow substrate lowers back pressure right where a naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder feels it, at high revs and full throttle. The sound hardens as well, since the ceramic that smoothed it is no longer in the way.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated for continuous temperatures above 600 C, hand TIG welded in Sundern, Germany. The parts follow the original pipe runs and bolt to the factory flanges.

Before you order

• The parts fit both the 5.7 and the 6.0 litre cars;
• They combine with the Capristo rear silencer for the same car;
• Original catalysts on these cars are often already failing, so the swap is as much a repair as an upgrade;
• Installation is reversible, the standard parts can be refitted.

Capristo Automotive GmbH has built valved exhaust systems since 1990 and holds several patents on its valve technology.
