Sport cats for the Ferrari 512 TR, 512 M and Testarossa. The section replaces the factory secondary catalysts of the flat-12 with metal-core sport catalysts of lower cell density.

What it changes

On these cars the converters are heavy and restrictive, and they also damp the sound before it reaches the rear silencer. Sport cats reduce that restriction while keeping a catalyst in the system, which matters for cars that are still used on the road.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany, built to the original flange dimensions so the section bolts into the factory position.

Before you order

• Pre-cat replacement pipes are a separate position and address the primary converters;
• A metal sport cat core keeps the lambda sensors working, though an emulator may still be needed depending on market and software;
• On a car of this age replace the flange gaskets and check the studs during installation;
• One part number covers the 512 TR, 512 M and Testarossa.
