Carbon rear diffuser for the Ferrari 488 Pista. The part replaces the original diffuser under the rear bumper and is listed in gloss lacquer.

What changes

The Pista rear end is dominated by the diffuser, and the factory part is the largest surface there. Capristo keeps the shape and the channel geometry of the original, so the airflow under the car is unchanged: what changes is the material, the depth of the finish and how the rear matches the rest of the carbon on the car.

How the carbon is made

Prepreg layers are hand-laid into Capristo's own moulds, cured in an autoclave or press and lacquered by hand, in the weave the car manufacturer itself uses. Carbon tolerates the heat cycling behind the exhaust better than a painted panel, which matters directly under the tailpipes of a car that is driven on track.
