Carbon rear diffuser for the Ferrari 458 Spider. The part replaces the original diffuser under the rear bumper and is shared with the 458 Italia, since the two cars use the same rear end.

What changes

On the Spider the rear of the car is what people see with the roof down, and the diffuser is the largest single surface there. Capristo keeps the shape and the channels of the original, so nothing changes in the airflow under the car - the gain is in material, depth of finish and the way it matches other carbon on the car.

How the carbon is made

Prepreg layers hand-laid into Capristo's own moulds, cured in an autoclave or press, then lacquered by hand in gloss or matt. The weave is the same type the car manufacturer uses, so the pattern lines up with factory carbon.

Good to know

• LG is the gloss version, LM the matt;
• Hardware is included, the diffuser mounts to the factory fixing points;
• The same part number covers the 458 Italia;
• Removing the exhaust is not necessary for installation.

Expect the usual lead time for a lacquered carbon part, since each diffuser is finished by hand to order.
