Pre-cat replacement pipes for the Ferrari Testarossa, 512 TR and 512 M. The section sits between the manifolds and the secondary catalysts and takes the place of the primary catalysts, which on these cars are the first and tightest restriction in the exhaust.

Three versions

• Pre-cat replacement pipes for cars with the factory catalyst layout (02FE05903012);
• Set of short pre-cat pipes together with left and right manifolds (02FE05905004);
• Long pre-cat replacement pipes for US specification cars (02FE05903016).

The length depends on whether the car runs Capristo or factory manifolds, so confirm which headers are fitted before ordering.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, manually TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. The pipes bolt to the original flanges; the secondary catalysts and their mounts stay as they are.

Before you order

• Removing the primary catalysts is intended for track use and is restricted on public roads in many markets;
• Capristo also offers sport secondary cats with heat shields for the same cars if you want to keep a catalyst in the system;
• On cars of this age, replace the flange gaskets and check the studs during installation.
