Mid pipes for the Bentley Continental GT Speed W12. They replace the middle silencer section of the standard exhaust, the part that sits between the catalysts and the rear mufflers and does most of the damping on this car.

What it changes

• The W12 is heard across the whole rev range rather than only at full throttle, because the middle silencer no longer absorbs the sound before it reaches the rear;
• Back pressure drops in the middle of the system, which sharpens throttle response on a car of this weight;
• Weight comes off: the original middle silencer is a heavy assembly.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, built for the OEM mounting points and hand finished in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• The pipes are designed to work with the Capristo valved rear section; on a fully standard car the effect is smaller;
• There is no valve in this section, so the sound level rises permanently;
• Capristo also lists secondary race pipes for the same cars, which go further still;
• Bolt-on installation, no cutting or welding on the car.
