Secondary cat replacement pipes for the Aston Martin Vantage and Vantage AMR built from late 2017. They take the place of the heavy secondary section of the standard exhaust, between the downpipes and the rear silencer.

What it changes

• Weight comes off the middle of the car: the original secondary parts are the heaviest items in this part of the system;
• Less restriction after the catalysts, which the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 answers with a cleaner pull;
• A harder tone, audible even with the rear flaps closed, because the damping effect of the original section is gone.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel with heat blankets, hand polished and built for the OEM mounting points in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• The pipes are intended for track use, as removing part of the emissions equipment is restricted on public roads in most markets;
• Expect a check engine light; ECU tuning or oxygen sensor extensions are the usual solution;
• They combine with the Capristo valved rear section and with catted or catless downpipes for the same car.
