Link pipes Capristo Ferrari 812 Superfast

X-pipe centre section for the Ferrari 812 Superfast. The link pipes replace the factory centre section between the downpipes and the rear silencers. The X junction merges the two banks of the 6.5 V12, which evens out the pulses and gives the car a deeper tone in the mid range and a harder edge at the top.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, mandrel-bent and hand TIG welded in Sundern, Germany, then polished. The same grade as the rest of the Capristo system, rated for exhaust temperatures above 600 °C.

What it changes

• Lower back pressure in the middle of the system, where the OEM pipes are at their most restrictive;
• Fuller sound with the rear flaps open, without the drone that a straight centre pipe usually brings;
• Less weight than the factory centre section.

Good to know

• Shared between the F12 berlinetta, 812 Superfast and 812 GTS;
• Designed to be used with the Capristo valved rear silencers; it fits the OEM mufflers as well;
• Bolt-on to the OEM mounting points, no cutting or welding on the car;
• Keeps the factory catalysts in place, so the OBD system stays happy.
