X-pipe Capristo Maserati Quattroporte M139

X-pipe centre section for the Maserati Quattroporte M139. The pipe replaces the standard centre silencer and joins the two banks in one crossover, which is where the saloon gains both torque and voice.

What it changes

• More torque at low and mid revs, since the centre silencer is the first restriction in the system;
• A fuller, more even V8 note, designed to work with the Capristo valved rear section in both the OEM-control and CES-3 versions;
• About 5.4 kg, noticeably lighter than the factory centre part.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, chosen for acoustics, low weight and durability close to the Inconel used in Formula 1. Manually TIG welded and hand polished in the Capristo workshop in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• The Quattroporte and the GranTurismo use different X-pipes, the part numbers are not interchangeable;

• Fits the M139 chassis from 2008 to 2012 only - the earlier cars use a different centre section;

• Not CARB approved, so check the rules in your market;

• The sound level rises permanently: there is no valve in this section;

• Bolt-on into the OEM position.
