X-pipe Capristo Maserati GranTurismo / GranCabrio

X-pipe centre section for the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio. It replaces the standard centre silencer of the 4.2 and 4.7 V8 with an unsilenced X junction, so the two banks share one volume instead of running separately to the rear.

What it changes

• Low-end torque improves, because the centre silencer is the restriction the engine meets first;
• The V8 sounds fuller and more even, most of all with the Capristo valved rear section fitted;
• Less weight than the factory centre part.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, manually TIG welded and hand polished in Sundern, Germany, with the patented reinforced construction Capristo uses against resonance. Two 63.5 mm clamps are supplied with the pipe.

Before you order

• Fits the 2007-2018 cars, including GranTurismo S, Sport, MC Stradale and the GranCabrio;
• Developed to work together with the Capristo valved exhaust - on a fully standard car the effect is smaller;
• Removing the centre silencer raises the sound level permanently, so Capristo recommends the part for off-road and track use;
• Bolt-on into the OEM position, no welding on the car.
