Unsilenced centre section for the Maserati Coupe 4200 and Spyder. It replaces the factory centre silencer, which on this car is the main obstacle between the manifolds and the rear sections.

Two versions

• Two parallel pipes (02MA12203002) - each bank keeps its own path, the sound stays harder and more separated;
• X-pipe (02MA12203003) - the banks are joined in a crossover, which evens out the pulses and gives a rounder, deeper V8 tone.

Both delete the centre silencer, so the difference between them is character rather than volume.

Material and build

Stainless steel 309, hand polished, made in Sundern, Germany, to the dimensions of the original centre section.

Before you order

• The section is designed for the Capristo cat-back system for the 4200, but it also works with the factory rear silencers;
• Removing the centre silencer raises the sound level permanently - there is no valve in this part;
• Bolt-on into the OEM position, no welding on the car;
• Decide between parallel pipes and X-pipe by the sound you want, not by fitment: both mount identically.
