The Wagner Tuning Competition intercooler for Audi A6 C8 3.0 TDI and Audi A7 C8 3.0 TDI is designed as a high-performance replacement for the factory intercooler on 45 TDI and 50 TDI models.

The enlarged intercooler core measures 550 × 445 × 70 mm and provides a total volume of 17.13 liters. Compared with the factory Audi intercooler, the frontal area is increased by 134%, while internal volume is increased by 105%.

The larger heat-exchange surface improves charge-air cooling during sustained load, hard acceleration and higher boost pressure. This helps reduce intake air temperatures and heat soak, which is especially beneficial on tuned Audi A6 C8 and A7 C8 3.0 TDI applications.

The intercooler uses a Tube Fin core with internal turbulators. Cast-aluminum end tanks are optimized using CFD flow analysis to improve internal airflow distribution and reduce restriction.

The intercooler inlet connection measures Ø62 mm, while the outlet measures Ø67 mm.

The Wagner Tuning intercooler is designed as a direct replacement for the factory unit and installs using a Plug & Play configuration without major vehicle modifications.

A corrosion-resistant coating provides additional protection while maintaining efficient heat transfer during long-term use.

The intercooler has been pressure-tested to 6 bar and is suitable for both stock vehicles and tuned applications with increased boost pressure and higher engine output.
