Capristo exhaust valves (exhaust flaps) as a separate part - for building a custom valved exhaust, for repairing an older Capristo system or for adding valve control to an OEM exhaust. Made from heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel in Sundern, Germany.

Patented bearing

Every flap uses Capristo's patented axle bearing with play-free mounting, which keeps the valve disc centred in the pipe and stops it rattling as it wears. Part of the bearings is made of silicon carbide; they can be reconditioned or replaced, so the valve body is not a throw-away part.

Sizes

50, 54, 60, 63, 65, 70, 76 and 80 mm, each in a left and a right version, so both banks of the exhaust can be matched to the tube diameter. The 80 mm valve has an extended arm that moves the actuator further from the hot pipe. Heat protector cups for the actuators are ordered separately.

• Universal part - choose by tube diameter and side, not by car model;
• Suits vacuum and electric actuation, depending on the system;
• Bearings are replaceable and the valve body is reusable, which matters on track cars.
