Valved rear silencer for the Toyota GR Supra A90. The B58 three-litre turbo six is damped twice from the factory, by the turbocharger and by the exhaust, and this section addresses the second of the two.

What it changes

With the flaps closed the car stays as quiet as standard, which matters on a Supra used daily; open, the straight six comes through with the overrun character the standard system suppresses. The section sits behind the catalyst, so emissions equipment and diagnostics are untouched.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany.

Why the rear section matters on a turbo six

The turbocharger takes the edge off the exhaust pulses before they reach the system, so what remains is shaped almost entirely by the silencer. That is why the change here is heard as a difference in character rather than only in volume.
