Valved rear silencer for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Capristo replaces the factory rear muffler of the 6.75 twin-turbo V12 while keeping the character the car is built around: with the flaps closed the Cullinan stays as quiet as it left Goodwood.

Why a valved system on a Rolls-Royce

Silence is the point of the car, so an exhaust that is permanently louder would work against it. The flaps keep the standard experience in town and release the V12 only when the driver asks for it, which is the only sensible way to modify a car of this type.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany, built from scans of the original exhaust so that mounting points and connections match exactly.

• The rear silencer is one of three Capristo positions for the Cullinan, alongside the exhaust system and the sport cats;
• Check how your car controls the flaps before choosing the configuration;
• The 6.75 V12 is heavily damped by its catalysts as well, so the cat section is where the larger change sits;
• Bolt-on into the OEM mounting points.
