Valved rear silencer for the Lotus Evora and Evora S. The 3.5 V6 sits directly behind the cabin, so what the rear silencer does is heard inside the car as much as outside it.

What it changes

With the flaps closed the Evora keeps the civility that makes it usable on the road; with them open the mid-mounted V6 is heard properly, without the factory damping that holds it back at part throttle.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany. The alloy is specified for exhaust temperatures above 600 °C, which matters in the confined engine bay of a mid-engined car.

Before you order

• The section sits behind the catalysts, so emissions equipment and diagnostics are untouched;
• Check whether your car has factory flap control; without it the programmable Capristo controller is needed;
• Weight is lower than the original silencer, and on a car built around light weight that is worth having;
• Bolt-on into the OEM mounting points.
