Rear silencer for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 500 and LP 520 with the 5.0 litre V10. The first Gallardo generation carries a heavy standard silencer that damps the ten-cylinder hardest in the range where it is most interesting.

How it works

The silencer uses a shorter gas path and less damping volume than the original, so the V10 reaches the tailpipes with its own voice instead of a factory filtered one. The early Gallardo is the loudest of the ten-cylinder cars by character, and this is the part that lets that through.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated for continuous temperatures above 600 C, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany, developed on 3D laser scans of the original part.

Before you order

• The part covers the LP 500 and LP 520 cars of the 5.0 litre series;
• The silencer is lighter than the standard part, which sits on the rear overhang;
• Sport cats for these cars are a separate part;
• Installation uses the original mounting points and is reversible.
