Valved rear silencer for the Ferrari Portofino with the 3.9 twin-turbo V8. The section replaces the factory rear muffler and is the version built for cars with the OEM electronic valve actuators, which is how the Portofino controls its flaps.

How the valves are driven

On this car the factory valves work electronically, not by vacuum. Capristo supplies the E2P unit (electronic to pneumatic): it plugs into the OEM connectors and uses solenoids to operate the patented Capristo valves, so the car keeps the standard logic - closed when cruising, open under load.

Material and build

100% made in Sundern, Germany from highest grade 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel. Manually TIG welded, hand polished to a mirror finish after welding, with a patented reinforced construction that keeps resonance out of the body. The system is clearly lighter than the factory silencer.

Before you order

• Does not fit the Portofino M - that car uses a different exhaust;
• Pairs with the Capristo 250 cell sport cat downpipes;
• Installs into the OEM mounting points;
• Not CARB approved, so check the rules in your market.
