Rear silencer Capristo Ferrari 812 Superfast

Valved rear silencer set for the Ferrari 812 Superfast. It replaces the factory rear muffler section of the 6.5 V12 and is built around the same idea as the OEM exhaust: flaps closed at idle and on a steady throttle, flaps open when the engine is pulling, with no restriction on the way the V12 sounds at its 9000 rpm limit.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and hand polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. The parts are developed with 3D laser scanning, CAD and CNC bending, so the silencers use the OEM mounting points and the standard vacuum lines.

Valve control

The flaps follow the engine ECU exactly as the factory flaps do. The optional Capristo remote kit adds manual control: open the valves at any time, or hand control back to the ECU.

Good to know

• The same silencer set covers the F12 berlinetta, 812 Superfast and 812 GTS, since the rear section is shared;
• Lighter than the factory muffler, which takes weight off the rear overhang;
• Combines with the Capristo X-pipe and with the 100 or 250 cell downpipes for a full system;
• All mounting hardware is included.
