Rear silencer Capristo Ferrari 599

Valve-controlled rear silencers for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The set replaces both factory rear mufflers on the 6.0 V12 with twin-chamber silencers carrying vacuum-operated flaps, so the car keeps its standard manners at part throttle and opens up under load.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. Capristo develops its systems with 3D laser scanning and CNC bending, which is why the silencers drop onto the OEM mounting points without adapters.

Power and sound

Capristo measured up to +34 hp on the dyno for the full conversion, that is the valved silencers together with the matching replacement pipes for the secondary catalysts. The gain from the silencers alone is smaller and depends on the rest of the exhaust.

Good to know

• The flaps are driven by the OEM vacuum lines and follow the engine ECU exactly as the factory exhaust does;
• The remote control kit is optional and lets you force the flaps open or hand control back to the ECU;
• Fits the 599 GTB Fiorano; the 599 GTO and SA Aperta use a different exhaust and are not covered;
• Lighter than the factory mufflers, which also helps the rear axle load.
