Valved rear silencer for the Ferrari 512 TR, 512 M and Testarossa. It replaces the factory rear muffler of the flat-12 and is shared across the three models, which use the same rear layout.

What it changes

The rear silencer is the last and largest damping element on these cars. Replacing it lets the twelve cylinder be heard as it is rather than as the factory allows, and with the flaps closed the car stays usable on the road.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany. On a car of this age the corrosion resistance of the alloy is as valuable as the sound.

Why a valved silencer suits these cars

A flat-12 is loud by nature once the damping is reduced, and a fixed sports silencer makes a Testarossa tiring over distance. Flaps keep the choice with the driver instead of building it into the hardware.

Before you order

• One part number covers the 512 TR, 512 M and Testarossa;
• Pre-cat replacement pipes, sport cats and manifolds for the same cars are separate positions;
• Check the condition of the hangers and the flange faces before installation;
• Fitting uses the original mounting points.
