Valved rear silencer for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray built from 10/2021. The mid-engined C8 puts the exhaust directly behind the cabin, so the rear silencer defines what the driver hears more than on the front-engined cars.

What it changes

The LT2 6.2 V8 is naturally aspirated and has nothing between it and the rear section except the catalysts, so the character of the car changes immediately with the flaps open. Closed, the C8 keeps the civility it needs for daily use.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany, with a final quality check on every system.

Before you order

• The part number covers cars from 10/2021; earlier C8 production used a different rear section, so check the build date;
• Emissions equipment ahead of the silencer is untouched, so diagnostics stay as standard;
• Check how your car controls its flaps before ordering;
• Bolt-on into the OEM mounting points.
