Valved exhaust system for the Bentley Continental GT V8 and V8 S. The 4.0 twin-turbo V8 is the more vocal engine of the Continental range from the start, and this section removes the factory damping that still holds it back.

How it behaves

Closed, the flaps keep the car as quiet as a Continental is expected to be; open, the V8 comes through with the crackle the turbo motor is capable of. Control runs either through the factory actuators or, on cars without them, through the Capristo CES-3 version of the system.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. The parts are drawn from scans of the original exhaust, so flanges, hangers and vacuum connections match without adapters.

Before you order

• Confirm whether your car has the factory flap control, since that decides which version you need;
• The centre silencer is a separate position for the same car and is where the next step in sound sits;
• The W12 cars use completely different part numbers;
• Bolt-on into the OEM mounting points.
