Rear silencer Capristo Aston Martin Vantage V8 (2018-)

Valved rear silencer for the Aston Martin Vantage V8 from 2018. It replaces the factory rear muffler of the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 and is listed under its own part number, separate from the earlier system for the same body, so order by the number rather than by the model name alone.

What it changes

With the flaps closed the car behaves as standard, which matters on a daily-driven Vantage; with them open the V8 is no longer filtered through the factory damping. Because the section sits behind the catalysts, emissions equipment and diagnostics are untouched.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded by hand in a TIG process and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. The alloy is rated for exhaust temperatures above 600 °C.

Before you order

• Confirm the part number against your car: Capristo lists several rear sections for the new Vantage depending on build date and equipment;
• The largest flow gain comes from the downpipes and, on OPF cars, from the filter replacement pipes;
• Bolt-on into the OEM mounting points, using the factory actuators.
