Exhaust system for the Maserati MC20. It replaces the rear silencers behind the catalysts of the 3.0 V6 Nettuno and runs a larger pipe diameter, which is where the car gains both flow and voice.

Two versions

• With silencer and electronic flaps, ECE approved (02MA09203007);
• Flap-controlled sports system, for racing purposes only (02MA09203014).

The approved version is the one to take for a road car; the racing version is the louder of the two.

Tailpipes

Both versions are offered with colour anodized tailpipes in black, red or silver, or with gold-plated tips in an aluminium outer sleeve finished in wicrom black. The tips fill the bumper cut-outs better than the standard ones.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded entirely by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany, with a final quality check on every system.

Good to know

• The MC20 carries particulate filters between the turbos and the catalysts, so the biggest gain comes from combining this system with the Capristo OPF replacement pipes;
• Capristo notes that ECU programming may be required whenever catalysts or OPF sections are changed.
