Exhaust system for the early Ferrari Testarossa of 1985-1987. The 4.9 flat-12 has two banks of six and a long path to the rear silencer, and this system replaces the part of it that does the damping.

Two versions

• Standard (02FE05903006);
• With the EVCU-1 controller (02FE05903011).

The EVCU-1 is programmable and supplied with a remote, so the flaps can be set to open where you want rather than following a fixed point.

What it changes

The flat-12 is the defining feature of the car, and the factory system keeps it at a distance. A free-flowing rear section brings it back without changing the way the car drives, which on a classic matters as much as the sound.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany. The alloy resists corrosion far better than the original steel, which on a car of this age is a practical argument as well as a technical one.

Before you order

• The 1985-1987 cars differ from later Testarossa and 512 production, so order by year;
• Manifolds and pre-cat replacement pipes for the same cars are separate positions;
• Replace the flange gaskets during installation.
