Valved exhaust system for the Ferrari California T (2014-2017, 3.9 V8 biturbo). The kit replaces the factory rear muffler section and works with the original tailpipes and the original valve control, so the car looks standard from behind and behaves standard until you ask for more.

Material and build

High-grade 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany. Capristo chose this alloy for its acoustic resonance, low weight and durability, properties close to Inconel. Development runs through 3D laser scanning, CAD and CNC bending, so the system drops onto the OEM mounting points.

Sound on a turbo V8

Turbochargers soak up a lot of exhaust noise, which is why the California T sounds muted from the factory. The Capristo system reduces damping behind the turbos: closed flaps give a deeper tone than standard, open flaps let the V8 through properly. Tailpipe diameter is 90 mm.

Good to know

• The flaps follow the engine ECU and the OEM vacuum lines, no extra wiring needed;
• An optional wireless remote switches between loud and quiet from the cabin;
• The factory catalysts stay in place, so the OBD system is unaffected;
• Not CARB approved - check the rules in your market before road use.
