Exhaust system for the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider. The 3.9 twin-turbo V8 is quieter from the factory than the atmospheric 458 it replaced, and this system is where most of that difference can be recovered.

Two versions

• With remote (02FE08703005);
• Standard (02FE08703008).

The remote lets you open and close the flaps from the cabin regardless of what the factory programming decides; without it the system follows the standard logic.

What it changes

On a turbocharged engine the turbines absorb much of the exhaust pulse, so the rear section has to be freer to compensate. Closed, the car keeps the quiet the 488 is known for; open, the V8 comes through with the hardness the turbo motor is capable of.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany, with Capristo's own valves.

Before you order

• The rear silencer with sport cats is a separate position and carries the larger flow gain;
• Carbon tailpipes for the 488 are listed separately in gloss and matt;
• Installation uses the original mounting points.
