Exhaust system for the Dodge Viper SRT ACR. The 8.4 V10 is the largest engine in the Capristo range, and the factory system is the main thing standing between it and the noise it is capable of making.

What it changes

A naturally aspirated V10 of this size reacts directly to exhaust restriction: there is no turbocharger in between to soften the result. Opening up the system after the catalysts gives the Viper its full voice and reduces back pressure where the standard parts hold it.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded entirely by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany, with a final quality check.

Before you order

• Downpipes for the same car are a separate position, offered with 100 or 250 cell sport cats or catless;
• Capristo lists most of its systems for this platform for track use, so check local rules before road use;
• The ACR runs significant aero and underbody hardware, so allow time for installation;
• Mounting uses the OEM points.
