Exhaust system for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 of 2005-2013. The LS7 7.0 V8 is one of the largest naturally aspirated engines Capristo builds for, and the factory system keeps a surprising amount of it hidden.

What it changes

A big-capacity atmospheric V8 responds directly to the exhaust: there is no turbocharger between the engine and the system to absorb the sound. Freeing the rear part lets the LS7 be heard across the rev range, while the car keeps its standard drivability.

Material and build

Heat-resistant 1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, welded entirely by hand in a TIG process and polished to a high gloss in Sundern, Germany, with a final quality check.

Before you order

• The system is built for the C6 Z06 with the LS7; the standard C6 and the later C7 use different part numbers;
• Check the rules in your market before road use, since Capristo lists most of its American-market systems for track use;
• Installation uses the OEM mounting points;
• Production is to order, so allow for the usual lead time.
