Exhaust system for the Audi S4 and S5 of the B8 series, both the 3.0 TFSI EA837 supercharged V6 and the 4.2 FSI V8. One part covers the range because the cars share the rear floor and exhaust layout.

How it works

The valves stay closed at light load, so cruising noise is close to standard. Opened, the gas path shortens and bypasses the damping chambers, which is where the volume and the sharper response come from. The supercharged V6 is quiet from the factory, so the change on those cars is the most noticeable of the two.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated above 600 C, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany, engineered on 3D laser scans of the original pipework.

Before you order

• The system fits both the V6 and the V8 B8 cars;
• Tailpipes are chosen separately, several shapes are available;
• The centre silencer delete pipes are a separate part;
• Installation uses the original mounting points and is reversible.
