Exhaust system for the Audi RS7 Sportback and the RS6 C7 with the 4.0 TFSI EA824 biturbo V8. Both cars share the platform, the engine and the rear exhaust layout, so one system covers them.

How it works

The valves stay closed at light load, so cruising noise is close to standard. Opened, the gas path shortens and bypasses the damping chambers. On a hot-vee engine the turbochargers absorb most of the sound before the exhaust begins, which is why the change at the back is so audible.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated above 600 C, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany, engineered on 3D laser scans of the original pipework.

Before you order

• The system is lighter than the heavy standard silencers it replaces;
• Tailpipes are chosen separately, several shapes are available;
• The system suits cars with the factory flap control;
• Installation uses the original mounting points and is reversible.
