Set of centre silencer replacement pipes with exhaust flaps for the Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS 991. The pipes take the place of the factory middle silencer, the stage most owners leave alone because it is out of sight under the car.

Why it matters

Changing only the rear section leaves the factory middle box in the path, and that box absorbs a large part of what a 9000 rpm flat-six produces. Capristo put flaps into these pipes, so the section can be opened and closed rather than simply left open.

What it fits

The set works with the standard exhaust system and with the Capristo manifolds, so it can be added at any point rather than only as part of a full build.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated above 600 C, hand TIG welded and polished to a mirror finish in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• The part is lighter than the standard middle silencer;
• Installation uses the original mounting points, nothing is cut;
• The standard silencer can be refitted at any time.
