Exhaust manifolds for the Ferrari F430, supplied with heat protection. The set replaces the factory headers of the 4.3 V8 and follows the 4-2-1 principle with routing that differs substantially from standard, which is where the mid-range gain comes from.

Measured gain

Capristo quotes 18 hp and 12 lb-ft over the stock headers. The factory manifolds carry the pre-catalysts inside them; the Capristo headers do not, which is the main reason the engine breathes better.

Material and heat management

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, manually TIG welded and hand polished in Sundern, Germany. Hand-crafted heat jackets are part of the set and lower engine bay temperatures. The headers must not be run without them.

Before you order

• Removing the pre-cats can turn on the check engine light; plan for a simulator if the car is used on the road;
• Works with the OEM catalysts and with Capristo sport cats and mid pipes;
• Fits the F430 Coupe, Spider and Challenge;
• Do not torque the header studs above 24 Nm - over-tightening leads to stud failure or head damage;
• Capristo also offers an upgraded exhaust mount with four spring-loaded hangers that absorbs the thermal expansion of the system.
