Exhaust manifolds for the Ferrari 458 Spider. The left and right header set replaces the factory manifolds of the 4.5 V8 and is supplied with heat blankets; Capristo uses the same part across the whole 458 range.

Design

4-2-1 layout, pipe routing clearly different from the standard manifolds, which improves scavenging and frees up the section where the factory exhaust is tightest.

Why it matters on the Spider

With the roof down the exhaust is far more present in the cabin than in the coupe, so the header section does more here than numbers alone suggest: the character of the V8 changes from 4000 rpm upwards, where the standard car stays muted.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, polished, with hand-sewn heat blankets, about 14 kg for the pair. Fitment is to the original mounting points.
