Race downpipes for the Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo, Quattroporte GTS and Ghibli with the 3.8 twin-turbo V8. The pipes take the place of the factory catalysts entirely, which is the freest flowing option Capristo offers for this engine.

What it changes

• The largest single drop in back pressure available on these cars, since the catalysts sit directly behind the turbochargers;
• A much harder V8 note, present from idle rather than only under load;
• Less weight than the OEM catalyst section.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, manually TIG welded and hand polished in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• These are catless race pipes: road use without catalysts is restricted in most markets and the parts are not CARB approved;
• ECU programming may be required - Capristo states this applies whenever catalysts or cat replacements are fitted;
• If a catalyst has to stay in the system, the same cars are served by 100 and 250 cell sport cats with heat blankets;
• Fitment covers the Trofeo from 2020, the GTS M156 of 2013-2018 and the Ghibli M157 from 2013.
