Downpipes for the Nissan GT-R R35 of the MK3, MK4 and Nismo generations. The pipes replace the factory catalyst section behind the turbochargers of the VR38DETT, which is where the standard system restricts flow most.

Three versions

• 100 cell sport cats (02NI09503004) - the freest flowing catted option;
• 250 cell sport cats (02NI09503019) - closer to standard behaviour;
• Catless race pipes (02NI09503006) - maximum flow, for track use.

Why this section on a GT-R

On a twin-turbo engine the converters sit directly in the hot gas path from the turbines. Opening up this section is what the engine responds to most, both in spool behaviour and in sound, while a rear silencer alone changes far less.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• Catless pipes are for track use; road use without converters is restricted in most markets;
• Expect a check engine light after a cat delete and plan for the matching software solution;
• The downpipes combine with the Capristo centre section and the valved rear silencer.
