Downpipes Capristo McLaren 720S

Downpipes for the McLaren 720S, supplied with heat blankets. The pipes replace the factory catalyst section behind the turbochargers of the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 and are also listed by Capristo for the 765LT.

Two versions

• Catted downpipes (02ML11003013) - a sport catalyst stays in the system;
• Cat delete downpipes (02ML11003018) - the freest flowing option, around 12 kg for the pair.

Heat management

Both versions come with heat blankets. In a mid-engined car the catalyst section sits against the engine bay panels, so keeping the heat inside the pipe protects the surroundings and maintains gas speed.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand polished to a mirror finish, engineered with 3D laser scanning, CAD and CNC bending in Sundern, Germany. The alloy was chosen for acoustics, low weight and durability close to Inconel.

Before you order

• Capristo recommends the pipes for off-road and track use;
• Replacing the converters may set a check engine light, and only an ECU modification switches it off;
• Both versions use the OEM mounting points and work with the standard or the Capristo rear section.
