Cat bypass downpipes for the Ferrari 812 Superfast. The pipes replace the factory catalytic converters directly behind the manifolds of the 6.5 V12 - the single biggest restriction in the stock exhaust and the part that decides how hard the car sounds at full throttle.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, mandrel-bent and hand TIG welded in Sundern, Germany. The downpipes are supplied with heat blankets: the insulation keeps the heat inside the pipe, protects the surrounding components and helps gas speed in the hottest part of the system.

What it changes

• Clearly lower back pressure where the standard exhaust is tightest;
• Harder, louder V12 note through the whole rev range, including with the rear flaps closed;
• Less weight than the OEM cat section.

Before you order

• Catless pipes are for track use - road use with the catalysts removed is restricted in most markets;
• Removing the cats sets an OBD fault, so a cat simulator such as the Capristo OBD Wizard is needed to keep the warning light off;
• Best used with the Capristo X-pipe and valved rear silencers;
• Bolt-on fit to the OEM flanges and mounting points.
