Downpipes for the Dodge Viper SRT ACR. They replace the factory catalyst section of the 8.4 V10, which on this car is both the heaviest and the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

Three versions

• 250 cell sport cats (02DO12403008) - closest to standard behaviour;
• 100 cell sport cats (02DO12403009) - freer flowing and louder;
• Catless race pipes (02DO12403007) - maximum flow, for track use.

What it changes

On a naturally aspirated ten cylinder the converters are the first real obstacle after the manifolds. Removing or opening them changes throttle response as much as sound, and the weight saving on a pair of large American converters is considerable.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand TIG welded and polished in Sundern, Germany, built for the OEM flanges and mounting points.

Before you order

• Catless pipes are for track use; road use without converters is restricted in most markets;
• Expect a check engine light after a cat delete;
• The downpipes combine with the Capristo exhaust system for the same car.
