Downpipes with heat blankets for the Aston Martin Vantage V8 built from late 2017. The pipes replace the factory catalyst section directly behind the turbochargers, which is the tightest point in the standard system and the place where a turbo V8 loses most of its voice.

Two versions

• 250 cell sport cats (02AM05003013) - a catalyst stays in the system;
• Catless race pipes (02AM05003009) - maximum flow, for track use.

Heat management

Both versions come with heat blankets. On a car with the turbochargers and the catalyst section packed into the same area, keeping exhaust heat inside the pipe protects the surrounding components as well as maintaining gas speed.

Material and build

1.4828 (AISI T309) stainless steel, hand polished to a mirror finish, designed for the OEM mounting points in Sundern, Germany.

Before you order

• Catless pipes require ECU tuning or oxygen sensor extensions to keep the check engine light off; catted versions can still trigger it;
• Running without catalysts is restricted on public roads in most markets;
• Capristo uses overlapping part numbers across the V8 and V12 Vantage downpipe ranges, so confirm the engine when ordering.
