Cat delete pipes for the Audi S4 and S5 of the B8 series with the 3.0 TFSI EA837 supercharged V6. The lightweight pipes fit in place of the original catalytic converters, which are the largest restriction in the standard system.

What changes

A catalyst is the narrowest point exhaust gas passes through. Taking it out drops back pressure where the supercharged V6 feels it most, and the sound changes from a muffled note to the hard edge the engine makes without the ceramic in the way.

Material and build

T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, rated for continuous temperatures above 600 C, hand TIG welded in Sundern, Germany. The pipes are developed on 3D laser scans of the original parts and bolt to the factory flanges.

Before you order

• ECU programming is required so the oxygen sensor monitoring does not set a fault;
• The pipes fit the V6 cars only, the V8 B8 has a different layout;
• Capristo supplies them for off-road and track use, running without catalysts is restricted on public roads;
• Installation is reversible, the standard catalysts can be refitted.
